After 12 years of 24/7 heavy duty and 26.000 retort cycles, we are supplying the first spare drum for Surdry Rotary Retort AR-174-E, a giant size model which accommodates 4 baskets or stacks of racks, total volume of 4.3 cbm or 1,136 US Gallons.
The design features a basket clamping system where the air cylinders to move the clamping plate up and down are placed on the sides and are not subject to the weight of the basket and are so free from any stress. Smooth and balanced rolling on a race ring that, unlike other retorts, is not seating on the first drum disk but in the second and trunnions with external bearings, makes this drum so exceptional and proven to be highly durable.
